Its all very well for me to say that, living in Hawaii and all..but we're dealing with another problem...terrible VOG (the stuff that the Volcano blows out) which is like a dense layer of smoggy, cloudy stuff (sulphuric acid) that makes us all start coughing, sneezing and wheezing. Its hideous. When the trade winds finally decide to come back, the VOG will be blown away....until then....give me some clean white snow anyday..Lisa Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11923361717912751016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5395166533939958460.post-6336600082451753502008-04-21T07:50:00.000-07:002008-04-21T07:50:00.000-07:00Oh yeah, and I'll know you're old not when you're ...Oh yeah, and I'll know you're old not when you're watching the weather channel but when you're discussing, in obsessive detail and to the exclusion of all other conversation, the health, or ill health, of yourself and everyone you know. And though we seem to have finally broken through the temperature issue, there is a 40% chance of rain every day this week. But at least no snow. Finally. We did have snow flurries just 9 days ago though.

Hang in there, because I am pretty sure that spring actually has to show up some time. I think it's the law. Right? Please???Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06571931282231386159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5395166533939958460.post-33224314429129495442008-04-21T02:00:00.000-07:002008-04-21T02:00:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5395166533939958460.post-13679721740733897352008-04-20T19:51:00.000-07:002008-04-20T19:51:00.000-07:00Deal!Deal!anniemcqhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04321843578386603574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5395166533939958460.post-46597323782696780432008-04-20T18:44:00.000-07:002008-04-20T18:44:00.000-07:00Okay, okay... in the interest of full disclosure, ...Okay, okay... in the interest of full disclosure, I will admit that Texas runs a pretty poor show of the weather most of the time.

You can take me back to sweet home Chicago almost any day of the year, and I'm an exceptionally happy camper... except in April.

Because in April, Texas is in full, glorious bloom. You can wear shorts, but we're not in swelter mode yet.

And although the rare tornado passes through, it's still better than old, dirty snow, clumped around the gutters.

But hey, let's compromise: just come VISIT Texas. And I'll return the favor in August, when the mercury here climbs past two hundred degrees.

Deal?mrsf5https://www.blogger.com/profile/17663676544281606257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5395166533939958460.post-14417125089491334632008-04-20T18:18:00.000-07:002008-04-20T18:18:00.000-07:00What's funny is that Franklin heard "move to Texas...What's funny is that Franklin heard "move to Texas" (and do not, I repeat, do NOT let her convince you that Dallas is cooler than Austin. It's so not.) but all I thought was "I'm so envious".

I miss snow.
I really do.
Texas is not all that, weatherwise.
