Took these this morning. The light was amazing, streaming in through our little window, and the song he was singing was "Who Will Be The Love Again?" It was a masterpiece, and I made him promise to remember it so he could play it again when the recorder is charged. I promise to post it when I do. It was a very sad, serious song, and after the last few days, I'm forever grateful that he has an outlet. I'm even more grateful that he'll sing to me.

gorgeousness.
you're not forgetting that you're on the hook for an MP3 format, are you? :)
I think often of JH's "never get left alone" lyrics -- they perfectly sum up that feeling of loneliness -- so unlike solitude, that we choose for ourselves -- loneliness is all about being left. not of our choosing.
want that MP3 too. :)
Oh, my friend. You are the best. I appreciate all the comments you've made today so much. I promise the mp3 is coming. I'll make you one of the new one today, too. It was just amazing. This kid has such a deep well. Whenever I ask him about these sad songs he sings, he says "Oh, mom. It's not about ME!" and then laughs himself silly. He's just drawn to the melancholy, I guess. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, no?!
I know you know this, but: that is one impressive little guy you're raising. Your future daughter-in-law will, I am sure, thank you regularly and profusely for creating such a sensitive, talented, expressive Renaissance man. (No, we don't know who she is. But we already approve of her.)
