What Kind of flower are you?

I KNEW there was an actual quiz you could take to find out this very important information.

I found this quiz, along with some pictures of my friend Claire's beautiful family here. Claire used to live across the street from me in North Hollywood, and now she's slummin' in Sherman Oaks.

All this time I thought I was a stripedy rose. But I'm not. I'm a Sunflower. Except when I have PMS. Then watch out

Take the test. What are you?

I am a
Sunflower

listen. i am NOT a daffodil. the test didn't work because COFFEE is my favorite ice cream and BLOGGING is my favorite activity besides gardening, and neither option was available.

not. a. daffodil.

not even maybe.

(but it was fun, anyway.)

Dude, I got petunia. I'd rather be a daffodil.

And somehow nearly all my friends are snapdragons.

Whatever.

oh dear

You Are a Canna

"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets in the way of what other people think. You are proud of yourself and your accomplishments and you enjoy letting people know that."

What the h*ll is a canna?

My gardening skills consist of moving petunias and geraniums from the conainers they came in from Home Depot to the planters on our porch and patio.

My favorite ice cream is green mint chocolate chip.

If I was not gardening I would be doing laundry or reading blogs or hanging out at the pool with my kids.

I took this test again, in the hopes that I might also achieve sunflower status, but: NOPE. I am a confirmed Nigella.

Allrighty then.

I learn something everyday here. Anne, I looked up Canna, and it turns out I actually have "Canna Tropicana" in my yard, and they are exotic and gorgeous. You can see them here: http://www.willowcreekgardens.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=74&gclid=CKDkrdLy4IwCFRDaYgodykMQ7w
And Anne: FYI, it says they are "dramatic and easy" ;)

I had never heard of Nigella either, so Franklin, you are in for a treat. My favorite name of a genus of plant ever: "Devil in a bush", but the most common type is "love in the mist". You can also make an Indian spice out of the seeds! You are so frickin' exotic! Check it out here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigella
