Ms. McQ, I am not offended in the least by your comments on my comments. I am finding the presidential race much more interesting now. My husband leans Republican, my dad is a lifelong Democrat, and those are the two sources I usually trust to get a balanced political view.
However, people like you, who are intelligent and who write well, have added a whole new dimension to my world. I am gathering information from many sources now; I trust what you and suttonhoo write to be grounded in truth and your beliefs, which is excellent.
My initial comments about McCain's VP choice were excitement for a female to be on the ticket. In retrospect, if I was a seasoned Republican woman with more national governemnt experience in Congress, I would pissed as all hell for McCain's choice, if his decision was based on wanting / needing a woman on the ballot.
I am glad you decided to keep posting here. I agree with the comments of others that your life and your blog is about things other than family and work, and you should feel free to post what you want. It is how good discussions get started!
Keep up the good work!
